A wonderfully innovated little program that the children get to create their own cartoons or comic books on.

The children have used the project repeatedly and you can find their projects http://scratch.mit.edu/users/teacherpalooza. New projects will be uploaded periodically through the year, depending on who can make finish theirs in the time allotted.

Uploaded most resently were easter eggs! Check them out!

Notes from Alex

The students and I have embarked on an exciting adventure in hopes of having tons of fun while learning a thing or two about science. Our focus is on biology, chemistry, physics and Earth Science. For the firs week, the young scientists and I explored the human body, specifically the 5 senses. The weeks following, we learned about (and created) fossils, erupting volcanoes, spinning helicopters, and airplanes. Next week, we will create invisible ink, glow-in-the-dark water and so much more!
The students are being prepped up with all these new exciting discoveries so that hey can investigate and solve the puzzle to a mock crime scene during the last day of the program. It has been a pleasure having each and every student in my class.
